Mentoring

The GIRLS Group Mentoring Program serving Los Angeles & San Diego, CA helps to generate inner respect, love and self-empowerment in African American women and teen girls that are, or have been in dysfunctional and/or disadvantaged lifestyles through a positive, productive and beneficial environment.  The mentoring program uses adult volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person for a period of at six months.  By becoming part of the social network of adults and community members who care about the youth, the mentor can help teens to increase confidence, self empowerment and focus on setting academic and career goals.
